Working with images and media

Enhance your site using art, photography, logos and videos

You can add any of the following:

Featured images vs. Embedded Images

Most content types have a field to upload a Featured image. The display of your featured image is controlled by your style theme and therefore, featured images can look uniform across the site without having to manually change the size and alignments.

You may also embed images into the body text of your content. You can alter the style of an embedded image on a page by page basis.

Image Attributes

Captions

A caption can be added to both featured images and embedded images. The appearance of your image caption will be determined by your theme style.

Alt Text

Alternative text (aka alt text) is used by screen readers, search engines, and when the image cannot be loaded. By adding alt text you improve accessibility and search engine optimization.

    The Media Browser

When adding images to your site (either featured or embeded), the media browser allows you to upload and manage your image files.
